FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What to Bring?
You should bring your signed waiver and completed pre exercise form for each child participant.
Plenty of water to last the full 2 hours, with a small, as healthy as possible packed lunch.
Please dress for the weather hats and sunscreen if sunny and layers if cold or wet.
We will have spare bottles of water for emergency use but please bring plenty from home. No food is available but we will be starting to grow a vegetable corner with the children to look after and use for snacks.
Any medication you child may need during their time at the camps, please bring along in a plastic see through bag, named and with instructions on. To be handed in to the instructor by the adult responsible for the participant (asthma pumps for example).
What should I wear?
Some of the course is made out of wood so gloves can protect against splinters (recommended) also help with grip. Long sleeve and full length trousers (workout layers) will protect against small grazes but if the children are comfortable in just T-Shirt and shorts we will do our best to keep these to a minimum. Long undergarments advised close fitting clothes, trainers or trail shoes are essential.
Long hair should be tied back and all jewellery removed. Please do not bring valuables if you do, you bring these entirely at your own risk
If I change my mind or Can't come can I get a refund?
No we do not provide refunds. However you can change your booking if space is available 24hours before the start of your session, contact the instructor and we will be happy to transfer it to another date.
This is only applicable to the Individual £7 Boot Camp bookings and does not apply to group bookings, private bookings or parties.
How can I get hold of a Little Bandit T-shirt?
As a THANK YOU for helping us launch Little Bandits we have 50 T-Shirts to give away to the first 50 participants. There after you can purchase these for £8.50 each! Please see an instructor to order.
Is it safe?
This type of activity is very exciting but does carry a risk of injury. Bedford Boot Camps have taken all steps necessary to minimise risk but you should satisfy yourself that you are happy for your child to participate or their first visit to the course, and that they are fit and well enough to do so. Any concerns please speak to an instructor as there are lots of alternatives for the children to replace any obstacles with during the sessions.
A safety brief will be given at the start of each session. Please instruct the children to pay attention. We will allow plenty of practice and spot/coach the children on the equipment before any races take place. A safety check is also carried out prior to the start of each session. Any equipment deemed unfit for purpose will be sealed off or removed from the course.
A risk assessment has been carried out on each obstacle and these with a copy of our public liability insurance, covid – 19 action plan can be available for you to look at should you wish to do so.
All our staff are First Aid Trained and there is a first aid sports kit on site at all times.
If you require any further information please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on 07725 510 643 or camille@bedfordbootcamps.co.uk
Are spectators allowed?
Yes we allow one spectator per child! We ask that spectators stay on the edge of the green and do not venture on to the course for health and safety reasons. We appreciate spectators may wish to take photographs and we ask that you be considerate to the other participants when doing this and do not share images of other people on social media without their consent.
If my child is under 7 can they join in?
Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by a participating adult who has purchased a ticket also. You will then be permitted onto the course to assist with your child. You cannot do this as a spectator.
Are toilets available?
ATM unfortunately not on site due to Covid – 19 restrictions however we are hoping this to change very soon. The nearest toilets are situated in the Tesco store which is 5 mins drive away. Please ensure your child uses the bathroom before the travel to the course and if they are likely to need the toilet during the session be on hand to take them. As soon as this changes we will let you know via email! As soon as the council can open the community centre we will be able to use the bathroom facilities.
How long is the session and what is involved?
Each £7 Boot Camp Fitness session is 90 minutes long plus 20 minute (healthy eating talk) lunch break, plus 2 x 10 minute rests at the instructors discretion.
Each starts with a safety brief and then an instructor will take the children for a walk around the course before the warm up. Boot camp style fitness games will follow before the children are free to practice each bit of equipment before the timed lap at the end if they wish to take part in.
Is there car parking?
Yes there is FREE car parking on site. The course is a 1 minute walk toward the community centre from the car park. Please wait in line and follow the social distancing signs on arrival. The post code for the car park is the same as the Jubilation Centre address in Jubilee park.

Waivers must be signed by every child taking part. If the parents/guardians of the child or your guests are happy for you to do so, and you have all the correct information to be able to complete the waiver, sign it, you can do so on their behalf. In completing and signing these waivers plus the pre exercise form, Bedford Boot Camps assume you have the consent of the parent anyone under 18.

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Every participant must complete a waiver and pre ex form once and before any participation in the course.
COVID-19, is it safe to come and what measurements are in place?
We are open and operating within current guidelines and consider outside as safe as possible. Our droplet transmission rate is considered ‘low’. We take the safety of the children extremely serious and have put in place additional measures.
